As a person who has been raised around firearms from a young age, and previous Class 1 Law Enforcement Officer with extensive range time and training, I have always been comfortable handling a handgun. My Law Enforcement Career ended almost exactly 10 years ago. I have done almost no training in the past 10 years other than just a few target plinking shots here and there, absolutely nothing steady or intense. I know I lost my tactical edge and developed a few minor bad habits in form and grip, like I said zero training to keep my skills sharp. This class was a very good day to remember and practice basic fundamentals of handling and shooting , class size is perfect to allow for good instruction, and give special attention to everyone’s fundamentals. A absolutely must have for anyone just learning or getting back into the groove. Instructors, (Adam & David), and Mr. Trippi create an absolutely zero judgement zone!

Mark, thank you for these classes. I don't remember how long I've been attending, but they're greatly appreciated. These AR classes are fantastic. I've spent years around pistols and hunting rifles, but almost no experience with military. I started an interest a few years ago, and these classes have helped so much. We're doing well only because of your dedication. Thank you! Cherry

Mark is an incredible instructor! I hate sitting through classes, but he made sure we were comfortable and kept the mood fun. He also answered all our questions and made sure we understood all the laws clearly. I also felt safe when shooting on the range, which is a huge plus! Overall, I would definitely recommend Mark not just for his CWP class, but all your firearm training needs. I look forward to training with you in the future. Thanks,

Mark and Joseph, I have had 2 beginner classes with you and I have to say I am more confident now than I’ve ever been! Even though I have had some training before, I never wanted to carry until I had those 2 classes with you! It gave me more knowledge, skills, and confidence! So thank you for doing what you do! This intro class did an awesome job at integrating gun safety with ample shooting practice. Mark and Joseph were extremely knowledgeable and did a great job explaining gun safety, handling, and pertinent practices to beginners. I would absolutely suggest them to someone new!

Love your set up, you all definitely put time in to make these scenarios realistic.

Mark did an outstanding job for my CWP course. He was extremely thorough and was able to implement real world situation flawlessly into the program. I came out of this course exceeding what I was expecting from the class, and on top of that I can say I am confident on how to properly handle my firearm in any situation. I recommend him to anyone looking to get their CWP.

Your training recently helped me through a scary situation. A stranger approached me while I was filling the animals water bowls. I told him I didn’t have anything and to leave me alone. I walked back to my vehicle and sat down in it. I was wearing my firearm. He came up to the passenger side door and tried to open it. He had crazy eyes. I lifted my shirt to show I was armed and I told him i knew how to use it. He still wouldn’t leave so I cranked up my vehicle and left because I felt it was escalating and didn’t want that. If I hadn’t had the training I probably wouldn’t have been wearing my firearm and would have been very nervous. I went to police station and reported it. He said I had the right to defend myself. I told him I followed the ODDA Loop.

Mark, I thoroughly enjoyed the class today. I learned so much and definitely feel more confident now having gone thru the class. The class was informative and you put everyone at ease with the way you presented everything. I really look forward to taking more classes in the future and getting a chance to practice what I’ve learned. Thanks again for everything. Take care, Jeff

I recently participated in Mark's "Introduction to Handgun Safety, Handling, and Range Etiquette" class. The course was suitable for shooters of all levels of experience and provided valuable information for individuals to refresh and enhance their understanding of laws and techniques. Mark placed a significant emphasis on avoiding confrontations, which was particularly insightful and unique compared to other classes I have taken in the past. Mark and his team ensured that the range was operated in a safe and secure manner, with an emphasis on safety being repeated throughout the class. All participants were given ample range time to practice their skills. The outdoor class included various shooting scenarios that were more challenging and more fun than shooting at a stationary paper target in an indoor range. Mark and his assistants, (Adam & David), were responsive to questions and provided individualized support to each participant to help them improve their skills and techniques. Overall, the class was a fun and educational experience that I thoroughly enjoyed. I came away from the class with improved handgun handling skills and a refreshed understanding of existing gun laws. I recommend this class to both first-time shooters and anyone who owns a handgun. I am looking forward to returning for more classes with Mark. Ken

The beginner's class with Mark was highly educational with lots of information provided, and it was also a fun time. Mark was helpful in showing the correct way to hold a firearm, stand/posture, breathing, and more. He gave several different situations/scenarios, enforced safety, and emphasized personal and legal protection. I look forward to taking more classes with him in the future!

Mark is an incredible trainer, thank goodness I found you! I wanted to get a CWP for myself and my wife and luckily found Mark to be the perfect person for this. I even brought my teenage daughter so she can learn the proper techniques of gun safety and training. The classes were thorough, and Mark is extremely knowledgeable, so I felt comfortable asking him questions and what to do in certain situations. In addition, Mark created a fun learning environment, so the classes were not boring at all. I highly recommend Mark Trippi as an instructor for a CWP or for sharpening your skills for real life situations and how to best react for those unplanned circumstances.

My boyfriend and I took Mark's CWP class, and it was awesome! He was extremely informative and broke down all of the info so it was easy and digestible. Of course, the range portions was fun, and Mark even gave us extra time to just shoot after we finished the CWP test. Great class and I would definitely recommend! 02/03/2024

I enjoyed learning how to shoot from Mark and his team. Mark provided detailed information and training to prepare for shooting. We were able to shoot at targets while practicing changing our mags and proper positioning of our hands. I was comfortable and confident with Mark and his team. They were positive and encouraging with our group of women. I am excited about everything I learned, and I look forward to taking another class soon. I took my CWP class with Mark a few weeks ago and was very impressed with how knowledgable and thorough he was. He made everyone feel comfortable and confident and I appreciate the fact that he was very cautious when we were on the range and stressed the rules to ensure everyone's safety. I requested to be placed on his email list and recently returned to his range with my husband for a three hour "Firearm and Range Safety Training" course. We had a blast, learned a lot and will definitely go back. Mark is an excellent teacher and I highly recommend his services and classes.

For years, my husband who is ex-law enforcement, has wanted me to know how to use a gun in case I ever need to protect myself. As a trauma nurse, I would see the destruction that occurs related to gun incidents and so I had a fear of guns. With everything going on in our world, I knew I needed to overcome this fear and take a class. I had the opportunity when a group of local Christian women decided to go together and attend an introduction class. I felt that their support would be what I need to finally go. I'm not going to lie.... walking up to the range... I was terrified. But Mark and his crew of volunteers quickly dispelled my fear. I was able to complete the class and actually enjoyed it. I was curious how it would go because I'm blind in one eye. But I actually hit the targets with great accuracy. I'm so grateful for this experience! So much so that I came back a few weeks later and took Mark's CWP course. Again, very impressive class. Mark makes the content interesting and encourages student interaction. I would highly recommend taking these courses!

CWP training with Mark was amazing! The information was presented in a clear and very engaging manner. Mark puts a lot of care and effort into teaching safe and lawful ways to protect yourself. I highly recommend the CWP class for all SC residents, even if you don't plan to always carry a weapon. Knowledge is power. I had previously taken his intro class and suggest taking it first if possible so you can gain the basic info before going more in depth. Can't wait for range practice with Mark soon!

My stepdaughter had told me about Mark and arranged for us to attend one of his classes. I am not a novice but certainly no expert. Mark is an excellent instructor and he has a great demeanor making for a very easygoing class. He was stern when necessary and lighthearted to help us relax. I used to be a ski instructor and recognized his teaching skills right away. He is very knowledgeable and does a great job conveying proper shooting technique. I wish I lived closer so I could attend many more of his classes. His class is a must if you plan to carry but, even if you don't, it would behoove you to sharpen your skills, improve your confidence and know that you have improved your accuracy and overall shooting skills. I highly recommend Mark's shooting classes. By the way, Mark has constructed a very nice range in order to simulate real life scenarios. We don't just shoot at paper targets. Shooting on the move is a real world challenge and Mark does a great job running you through the course.
